February 18 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm$30
The second in a series of events highlighting the rich Mora Valley history.
In launching the tourism project, Paint Night will be hosted on the third Sunday of each month in Cleveland (formerly known as the Rio Grande Detox Center). The lead artist, Angela Meron, an art professor from Highlands University has experience guiding a group through painting one subject. The focus of the beginning series is to highlight our local historic mission churches, and eventually including some of the moradas, roller mills and other old, historic buildings within the surrounding area.
Each participant will be provided with all the necessary supplies and given a canvas which will have the story of the church on the back, which makes a great keepsake for those who have ties to the area, or have had a chance to go visit the church in person. Along with great fellowship, meeting new friends and practicing a new skill, light refreshments and appetizers are provided.
To encourage our community to participate and have access to a fun class, the introductory price is reduced in off-peak season (Most of us are too busy during tourist season to participate anyway.)
Pre-registration is required, transferable but no refunds.
